Monk Subclass: Way of the Arcane Flow

Monks who study the Arcane Flow have channelled their bodies to nullify and resist magic. Aware of the threat that spellcasters pose with even the smallest effort, they learn techniques to fight against them. Those who are well versed in this study have even learned how to redirect such power back at their foe.

Magical Insight. Starting at 3rd level you have learnt to manipulate your ki to gain greater understanding of enemy magic users.

Whenever you hit a creature with your flurry of blows you may choose to activate this feature to discover the following things:

  • The highest level of spell they can cast.
  • What type of magic they know; arcane, divine or nature based.
  • Whether they have any spells cast on them.

Arcane Disrupter. At 3rd level when you hit a target that is holding concentration on a spell, the target has disadvantage on the Constitution save made to keep it going.

Spell Strike. When you reach 6th level you may make an unarmed attack against a creature who casts a spell within 5ft of you. This attack does not use up your reaction, but you may not use this feature again until the start of your next turn.

Mage Bane. Beginning at 11th level you have honed your mind and body against the use of magic; gaining advantage on saves against spells and resistance to damage caused by spells.

Counter Caster. Upon reaching 17th level you have learned how to trap magical energy and reflect it back, when you save against a spell or a spell attack misses you, you may use your reaction to do an amount of force damage equal to your monk level.
