Warlock Subclass: Authority (Redux)

The powers you bargained for did not come from the unknown. Your patron is instead a monarch or a council, some form of ruling authority. One that has made you their instrument through a powerful ritual in return. A loyal soldier to perform the deeds they are unable or unwilling to do themselves.

Expanded Spell List

The Authority lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you.

Knight’s Vigilance

Starting at 1st level, your patron bestows upon arcane alacrity, allowing you to be more efficient in combat. You gain a bonus to your initiative rolls equal to your Charisma modifier.

Arcane Command

At 1st level, you gain the ability to hasten your allies on the battlefield. As a reaction at the start of combat; after initiative has been rolled but before anyone has had their turn, you may move one willing creature in the turn order. They are moved to either immediately after you in the turn order, or immediately before you in the turn order, gaining the following related benefit:

Before. For the first round of combat they gain 10 feet additional movement.

After. For the first round of combat they gain a bonus to their AC equal to half your Warlock level rounded up.

The creature then remains there in the turn order until combat ends.

Dominion Regalia

When you reach 6th level, you are constantly surrounded by a commanding presence that averts people’s attacks. At the end of a long rest, you gain the effect of a Sanctuary spell that lasts until the start of your next long rest (the spell can end early as normal). The spell uses your Warlock Spell Save DC.

Beginning at 10th level, you gain this at the end of a short or long rest.

Voice of Authority

Also at 6th level, you gain proficiency in either the Persuasion or Intimidation skill.

Additionally, once per long rest, when you roll a 9 or lower, you can instead choose to treat it as a 10.

Eldritch Order

When you reach 10th level, you are able to encourage action amongst your allies. When you expend a spell slot from your Pact Magic feature, you can choose one creature within 60 feet of you that is allied with you. That creature can make one melee or ranged weapon attack with its reaction, provided that it can see or hear you.

Sworn Servant

At 14th level, you are able to push yourself beyond death to ensure your task is completed.

While combat is still going, having 0 hit points doesn’t knock you unconscious. You still must make death saving throws, and you suffer the normal effects of taking damage while at 0 hit points. If you would have died due to failing death saving throws, while you cannot be healed you still do not die outright until combat ends; your body and soul held together by the magic you bound yourself to.
