Magic Items: Corvid Collection

Cloak of Unkindness

Wonderous item, uncommon (requires attunement)

Heavy raven wings cover this cape, moving and shifting as if alive.  When you attune to this item the feathers take on a metallic sheen and the cloak gains charges equal to your proficiency bonus.

When you are hit with a melee attack, you can expend a charge as a reaction, causing them to succeed a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw. On a failure they take 1d4 x your proficiency bonus in piercing damage, or half as much on a success. As the now metal wings fan out to stab your attacker.

Magpie’s Mantle

Wonderous item, uncommon

This feathery cloak has the appearance of magpie wings, catching the light with the same iridescence. As an action, while wearing this cloak, you can activate it with the command words, shiny shiny shiny; the feathers ruffle when you do.

Upon activation, the wearer is able to clearly see every magic item in sight, highlighted as they are by a golden glow. Including those worn. The effect lasts for the next 10 minutes.

Consequently, any invisible creature wearing magic items, no longer gain the benefits of being invisible while this is active.

Murder

Magic weapon (dagger), uncommon (requires attunement)

This silver dagger is gently curved like a crow's beak, with a handle like a folded wing.

When you attune to this magic weapon the wing unfurls and gains a number of charges equal to your proficiency bonus. When you hit with an attack with Murder, you can expend a charge as a bonus action and teleport 15 feet in any direction. Disappearing in a swarm of spectral crows.

Additionally, the first attack against you after you take this bonus action, has disadvantage, as the swarm of crows fly away.

Raven’s Quill

Wonderous item, rare

This long raven's feather drips with black ink but does not write. Above the nib a tiny engraving reads ‘why is a raven like a writing desk?’.

Upon speaking the answer aloud, they both make notes, the magic item activates until spoken again.

While activated this way, this quill can be used to scribe spell books and spell scrolls. Halving the cost for both.

The Obsidian Rookery

Wonderous item, rare

This magic item takes the shape of a palm sized nest, carved from obsidian stone. Giving any person who holds it a feeling of warmth and comfort.

Upon starting a long rest you can activate this item, casting the spell Tiny Hut. This lasts until the long rest is completed.

Each creature who completes their long rest within this spell, is able to cast the 3rd level spell fly on themselves, once. So long as they have an intelligence of 4 or above.

Each creature gaining black spectral wings when they do so.
